Founded in 2011, InterMediCare (International Medical Care International Charitable Organization) operates throughout Ukraine, helping people affected by the conflict in eastern Ukraine.
InterMediCare is an independent and neutral organization based in Kyiv.
InterMediCare is funded mainly by voluntary donations from individual governments, groups of states and private donors.
From 2011 to 2014, InterMediCare participated in systemic medical programs: "Stop Heart Attack", "Child's Heart", "Eco Woman".
In 2014, InterMediCare launched the Assistance to South-Eastern Ukraine program. Between 2014 and 2016, InterMediCare evacuated about 1,000 refugees from the war zone.Also, during all these years food was supplied to Slovyansk, orphanages of Luhansk and Donetsk regions, as well as medicines (antibiotics, anesthetics, dressings, surgical kits etc.) to hospitals in Slovyansk, Luhansk, Alchevsk, Donetsk, Horlivka, Kramatorsk and other settlements of Donbas.
In 2017, InterMediCare launched the Lifeline project with the support of the Slovak Agency for International Development Cooperation. In 2020, our project was also supported by the Swiss Cooperation Office in Ukraine and the Visegrad Group.
Since 2017, InterMediCare has provided medical care to more than 60,000 people at our medical facility at the Stanytsia Luhanska checkpoint.
InterMediCare is the only national humanitarian mission licensed by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, which has the right to provide emergency medical care on the contact line and in surrounding areas.
